On Sunday, 16 April, Archimandrite Avraamiy blessed Easter cakes in the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, LB.ua has reported.
This is the first Easter service of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in this shrine.
Earlier today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Ukrainians on Easter. He recorded a video message on the territory of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyy congratulated the Ukrainian people on Easter and wished all citizens of our country strength and inspiration in the fight for truth and freedom.
