Ukraine's priorities at the NATO summit are to receive additional weapons to liberate its land from Russian troops, an invitation to join the alliance and security guarantees, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the press in Vilnius. He stressed that NATO membership is impossible before victory, so Ukraine needs security guarantees until it becomes a member of the alliance.
"There are three priority issues on our agenda today. The first is a new package of weapons to support our army on the battlefield. The second, I think, is an invitation to join NATO. We want to be on the same level as others. We will receive this invitation when security conditions allow. I will discuss all these things with my partners," the president said.
Zelenskyy added that the third issue is security guarantees on the way to NATO. "We will talk about this today and fight for it."
