The command of the Russian occupying forces is trying to conceal the real losses of personnel and is burying them in occupied territories of Ukraine. The remains of the bodies are not taken to Russia, Ukraine's Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar has said.
According to her, the bodies of Russian troops are almost continuously cremated in the open near Melitopol in Zaporizhzhya Region, brought there by trucks. Residents have been smelling the typical acrid smoke for a long time.
In Kherson Region, the Russians take their dead to the morgue in the Chaplynka district hospital. They are buried in two locations in the region, one of which covers an area of about 100 hectares.
