The spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalev, said that Ukrainian troops succeed in two areas on the southern front, Military Media Center reports.
"In the areas of Novodanylivka - Novoprokopivka and Mala Tokmachka - Verbove, we have succeeded and are gaining foothold on the achieved positions," the spokesman said.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to conduct offensive operations south of the town of Bakhmut.
The General Staff earlier reported that Ukrainian defenders succeeded in the direction of Verbove village near Robotyne.
General Syrskyy recently said that the enemy is trying to regain lost ground in the Bakhmut sector at any cost. Russians also continue their offensive in the Kupyansk-Lyman direction.
