Bodies of 94 Ukrainian defenders returned to government-controlled territory, the Coordination HQ for the Treatment of POWs reported.
"In accordance with the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the bodies [remains] of combatants killed in connection with the armed aggression against Ukraine have been handed over to the opposite side," the statement said.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine will ensure the transportation of repatriated bodies and remains to designated state specialised institutions for transfer to law enforcement officials and forensic experts to identify the victims.
