President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready to discuss his proposals for peace in Ukraine with former US President Donald Trump. He said this in an interview with Fox News, one of the main media outlets for Republicans.
Zelenskyy said that Trump should be given the opportunity to show what the steps of his peace formula are. When asked if the Ukrainian president would like to sit down and talk to Trump, Zelenskyy replied in the affirmative.
"Yes, I am ready. Of course, if he has a very specific peace plan, he can share it with me. We can stop this war if we give Russia Donbas and Crimea. In my opinion, our country will not be ready for such a peace plan. This is not a peace plan," he said.
Trump, who is going to run in the 2024 presidential election, said he could "stop the war in 24 hours". He did not announce any specific plans. At the same time, the politician refused to wish victory to Ukraine.
"I want everyone to stop dying. Russians and Ukrainians, I want them to stop dying. And I will do it. I will do it in 24 hours," he said.
President Zelenskyy said he welcomed the desire to bring the war to an end, but it should be based on some real experience.
