The national oil and gas company Naftogaz of Ukraine's services have resumed operations after a large-scale cyberattack, the company has said on Facebook.

"Our services have resumed operation. All technical problems with websites and the call centre have been fixed," it said.

Customers can report their meter readings as usual from the 28th day of the month to the 5th day of the following month.

What happened

· On 25 January, Naftogaz of Ukraine and Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC recorded a large-scale attack on one of their data centres. The companies' websites and call centre were down.

· Earlier, on 12 December, Kyivstar mobile operator suffered a massive hacker attack that led to a technical failure. The SBU opened a criminal investigation into the cyberattack on Kyivstar. The involvement of Russian special services is one of the versions being checked.
