President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he expects a fair mobilisation law from the military and the Ministry of Defence. He said this in an interview with the German TV channel ARD.

"I expect the law on fair mobilisation from the military today, either to be extended or amended - you can call it differently. In any case, I would like it to be a comprehensive, fair bill. That's all. Their task today is to do this," Zelenskyy said.

He added that he expects a "fair answer to this question" from the military and the Ministry of Defence.

According to Zelenskyy, the law on mobilisation should regulate the issues of demobilisation and leave.

"Only in a fair way. In the issue of mobilisation, the moment of demobilisation is important. Many people have fought for many days. There are people who have been on the battlefield for 700 days. We need fair rotations, we need to give extensive holidays. Money cannot cover everything. Although the salaries are high, we still need justice in this area," the President said.

In addition, according to Zelenskyy, it is wrong that representatives of territorial recruitment and social support centres walked the streets looking for men who did not come to the military registration and enlistment offices. However, this issue must also be resolved fairly.

"They should not do this. That's why I asked our military and MPs: when they are preparing this draft law, they should not have a chance to walk the streets. Today, there are opportunities to use the digital format, etc. We live in a time of digitalisation and we are a very digitalised country - there is no problem to solve this issue in a modern way," the head of state said.
