The Special Operations Forces have shared details of fresh attacks on important Russian targets, which have weakened Russia's position in the Black Sea.

According to the press service of the Special Operations Forces, the special operation was called "Citadel".

According to intelligence reports, one of the illegally seized oil platforms was used by the Russians to enhance the operation of an Iranian-made Mohajer-6 unmanned reconnaissance aircraft. They installed equipment that increases the range and radius of its operation. The enemy used the Mohajer-6 for reconnaissance and attacks with Shahed kamikaze drones on critical infrastructure in southern Ukraine.

The Russians also installed a Neva-B radar station for detecting surface objects (from motor boats to ships) on the platform. With the help of this radar, they controlled the situation in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

After careful planning and preparation, a group of the 73rd Maritime Centre of the Special Forces set about destroying these objects.

"The special operation was carried out in the area of constant patrolling by the Russian air force and navy. At night, the boats of the 73rd Maritime Centre of the Special Forces came close to the production platform. After special operations and clearing, the facility was mined. The combat team moved to a safe distance and blew up the enemy target. As a result, important enemy equipment was captured and a mast with an antenna was blown up," the Special Operations Forces said.

The SFO emphasised that the successful work ensured safer movement of ships and limited Russia's capabilities in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
