On the night of 18 March, Russians attacked Ukraine with missiles of various types and attack drones. They fired S300-S-400 missiles at Kharkiv Region and two X-59 guided missiles at Sumy Region.
The enemy also launched 22 Shahed attack UAVs from the Prymorsko-Akhtarsk area. This was reported by the Air Force.
Anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and the Land Forces, mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, and electronic warfare equipment were involved in repelling the air attack.
"As a result of combat operations, 17 Shaheds were shot down within Kyiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyy, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsya, Zaporizhzhya, and Rivne Regions," the statement said.
In the morning, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration said that explosions were heard in the Kremenchuk district of the Region. There were no casualties or damage.
