Cyber specialists of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate have attacked the server of Russian government agencies, blocking the work of a number of websites with the gov.ru domain, Suspilne has learnt from sources in the special services.
According to the sources, the attacks are ongoing and the websites www.avard.gov.ru, www.gov.ru (the main website) and the end server fso.gov.ru are currently blocked.
"The attacks are ongoing," the sources added.
On 16 March, GUR's cyber specialists hacked into the Russian public service system, which is used for electronic voting in the "presidential election".
