As of 22 July, the volume of gas stored in underground gas storage facilities exceeded 10 bcm, Naftogaz reports.
Since the beginning of the season, Ukraine has pumped more than 2.5 billion cubic metres of natural gas.
"The pace of gas accumulation allows us to optimistically predict the fulfilment of the plan, namely 13.2 bcm by 1 November. I am grateful to all the specialists who, despite the war, are doing their job efficiently," said Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz Group.
In the first half of 2024, Naftogaz Group increased gas production by 8% compared to the same period last year.
Last year, Ukraine pumped the planned volume of gas into storage facilities ahead of schedule for the winter.
