The Security Service and the National Police have detained a 24-year-old girl and her 40-year-old neighbour who worked for Russian special services and set fire to military vehicles in Ivano-Frankivsk.
This was reported by the SBU press service.
‘The defendants were a 24-year-old local resident and her 40-year-old neighbour who were looking for quick money on the Internet. As a result, the woman was approached by an enemy representative and offered money in exchange for cooperation,’ the statement said.
The 24-year-old girl involved her accomplice in the ‘business’. The offender took conspiracy measures: he acted at night, hid his face and wore protective gloves.
The arsonist and his accomplice were detained in hot pursuit after setting fire to a camouflaged minibus.
During the searches, the police seized mobile phones used to coordinate their criminal actions and communicate with the customer.
The offenders are in custody. They face up to 10 years in prison.
