In the Zhytomyr Region, police in the presence of a specially created commission destroyed about 60 kg of drugs and almost 6,000 drug-containing plants.
This was reported by the press service of the National Police.
The drugs were material evidence in criminal proceedings before the courts.
‘Marijuana, poppy straw, opium, amphetamine - these drugs, which are most common among young people, were seized from drug traffickers by law enforcement officers during operational and search operations,’ the National Police said.
Law enforcement officers destroyed not only drugs and raw materials, but also specific devices for their use, which were also seized as evidence of the illegal activities of the accused.
