Ukraine expects to receive the next tranche of $1.1 billion from the IMF at the end of December.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal following a meeting with the International Monetary Fund mission.
‘We successfully completed the 5th review of the EFF programme at the end of October. We have completed all the structural benchmarks for the 6th review. Based on the results of the current mission, we expect to receive the next tranche of $1.1 billion at the end of December,’ the Prime Minister said.
The meeting also discussed the further implementation of the reforms envisaged by the memorandum of cooperation with the IMF and Ukraine's progress, which, according to Shmyhal, ‘is highly appreciated by the Fund’.
The parties also touched upon macro-financial issues and Ukraine's needs for external financing.
Shmyhal said that there is an understanding of how key expenditures will be financed. ‘We have reliable support from the IMF, the World Bank, the US and the EU through the Ukraine Facility programme, and funding through the ERA instrument,’ the Prime Minister added.
