Another child has been brought back from the temporarily occupied Luhansk Region as part of the Presidential initiative Bring Kids Back UA.
This was reported by the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.
The son of a Ukrainian servicewoman, who had remained in occupation for the past three years, was returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
‘Before the full-scale invasion, he lived with his mother and grandmother in Svatove in Luhansk Region, but after his mother went to defend the country and the town came under fire and was occupied, the boy was left alone with his grandmother. Two weeks ago, the grandmother died, and the child was left alone under the threat of deportation to Russia and placement in an orphanage,’ Yermak writes.
