The State Logistics Operator is developing a module in the DOT-Chain system that will provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with drones, electronic warfare and intelligence equipment, ground robotic systems and ground control stations.

According to the Ministry of Defence's press service, digitalisation will make the process much more transparent and speed up the supply of critical combat equipment for the frontline.

This decision is based on the successful experience of the DOT-Chain system, which has reduced the food supply cycle for the Armed Forces by 4 times.

‘Thanks to DOT-Chain, it will be possible to quickly deliver drones to where the military needs them. And in the quantities that are really needed,’ said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation.

With DOT-Chain Defence, the brigade's units will be able to choose the equipment they need according to their budgets. This functionality will allow direct interaction between manufacturers and suppliers of UAVs, electronic warfare systems, ground robotic systems (GRS) and ground control stations (GCS), the State Logistics Operator and the end user - the military.

From the first half of 2025, the functionality of collecting requirements will be launched as follows:

  • each brigade unit forms an application in accordance with its combat tasks;
  • the State Logistics Operator will place orders for manufacturers in accordance with the requests from the brigades.

‘Next year, we will launch a module in DOT-Chain Defence that will help collect the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for UAVs, EW/REW systems, GRSs and GCSs. This will enable units to directly generate requests, which will significantly optimise the use of time and resources of the military,’ said Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.

For suppliers, such digitalisation will create conditions for the rapid supply of critical equipment. And transparent communication will allow manufacturers to get a clear understanding of the army's needs, which will help improve product quality, optimise production capacity and speed up the production of the necessary equipment.
