Today, at a meeting with ambassadors, the key priorities of Ukrainian diplomacy for the next six months will be determined.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and the team of the Office of the President. He announced this on Telegram.

The president also noted that he had appointed 16 ambassadors.

“After reports from the military and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, I held a meeting this morning with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Office team. We finalised the long process of selecting candidates for appointment as ambassadors of Ukraine. I appointed 16 ambassadors. Personal tasks and performance evaluation criteria were defined for each of them,” Zelenskyy wrote.

He also added that today, at a meeting with the ambassadors, the key priorities of Ukrainian diplomacy for the next six months will be determined.

According to the relevant presidential decrees, the following have been appointed:

  • Spain – Yuliya Sokolovska
  • Canada – Andriy Plakhotnyuk
  • Belgium – Yaroslav Melnyk
  • Estonia – Volodymyr Boyechka
  • UAE and representative of Ukraine at the International Renewable Energy Agency – Oleksandr Balanutsa
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina – Volodymyr Bachynskyy
  • Mexico – Serhiy Pogoreltsev
  • Japan – Yuriy Lutovinov
  • Kenya, UNEP and UN-Habitat – Yuriy Tokar
  • Kuwait – Maksym Subkh
  • Oman – Olha Selikh
  • Cyprus – Serhiy Nizhinskyy
  • Malaysia – Hennadiy Nadolenko
  • Angola – Andriy Kasyanov
  • South Africa – Oleksandr Shcherba
  • Algeria – Oleksandr Voronin

Today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold a conference of Ukrainian ambassadors to foreign countries entitled From the Power of Diplomacy to the Diplomacy of Power. The day before, Sybiha and more than 80 Ukrainian diplomatic mission leaders visited Zaporizhzhya and, together with the head of the Region, Ivan Fedorov, discussed what should be the key priorities in working with partner countries.

Earlier, Sybiha announced the opening of new embassies and more than 10 new consular offices by the end of 2025, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced “new personnel decisions.”
