At around 2.30 am, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Ukrainian cities; explosions were heard in Kyiv and Dnipro. According to monitoring channels, the launch was carried out from Bryansk.
Interior Minister Klymenko reported that Russia killed a total of 15 Ukrainians overnight. More than 100 civilians were injured.
“This night-time attack by Russia was once again directed at those who are saving lives. In Kyiv, the occupiers launched a second strike when emergency services arrived to help the wounded. Three police officers and four medics were injured,” he said.
According to data from the State Emergency Service as of this morning, four people were killed in Kyiv, including a 12-year-old child. Sixty people were injured.
“Last night, four people were killed as a result of the enemy’s attack on the capital. Among them was a 12-year-old boy. Forty-five city residents were injured. Twenty-six of them were hospitalised by medics, while the others received treatment on the spot and as outpatients (including two children),” he said.
Damage has been reported in the Podilskyy, Obolonskyy, Shevchenkivskyy, Desnyanskyy and Dniprovskyy districts.
In Dnipro, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, Russian forces targeted residential areas and damaged an educational institution. Three people were killed, 27 were injured and 14 were hospitalised.
In addition, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and Odesa. In Kharkiv, drones carried out strikes at intervals of several hours. Residential buildings have been damaged.
In Odesa, nine people were killed. A further 23 were wounded. The Prymorskyy and Khadzhibey districts have been damaged. Russian forces attacked the city in several waves.
The Air Force also warned of the threat of high-speed targets to Cherkasy and Kropyvnytskyy.
Following the missile attack, Russia continued its drone strikes, in particular against the Kyiv Region.
