EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas is proposing new sanctions against Russia over the shelling of Ukraine.
This was stated in Kallas’s post on the X platform.
The EU’s top diplomat said that Russia’s strikes on Kyiv and other regions are deliberately aimed at civilians.
According to her, the hit on Latvia’s consulate in Sloviansk shows Moscow’s complete disregard for international law. Kallas expressed full support for Latvia and announced a diplomatic response from the European Union.
Kallas said the EU will summon Russia’s ambassador and propose adding Russia’s military-industrial complex to new sanctions lists.

- In addition, Russian forces attacked the venue of an arms exhibition in Kyiv Region with ballistic missiles in the morning. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, people were killed and about 100 were injured. There is extensive damage to residential buildings.
