Over the past day and on the morning of 26 July, Russian forces carried out a series of strikes on Chernihiv Region. Chernihiv, Novhorod-Siverskyy, the Novhorod-Siverskyy community, and the Koryukivka community came under attack.
This was reported by Chernihiv Regional Military Administration head Vyacheslav Chaus.
According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, the Russian military attacked Chernihiv in the morning. As a result of a hit on the grounds of one enterprise, a fire broke out in one of the premises. In another building, windows were damaged by the blast wave.
The previous day, Russian forces struck Novhorod-Siverskyy with multiple-launch rocket systems. A fire broke out at the impact site and was promptly extinguished by rescuers.
On the morning of 26 July, the city again came under attack. A Russian Molniya-type drone hit Novhorod-Siverskyy, damaging a residential building and civilian vehicles.
In addition, in the evening a Gerbera-type drone attacked a village in the Novhorod-Siverskyy community. The strike set about nine hectares of barley crops on fire.
Another attack occurred in a village in the Koryukivka community, where an FPV drone hit an outbuilding. The fire that broke out after the strike was quickly put out.
Russian forces also attacked critical infrastructure facilities in the Region over the past day.
