One person was killed as a result of an artillery strike on Stanislav in the Kherson Region. The prosecutor’s office has opened proceedings.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
“Under the procedural supervision of the Oleshky District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that resulted in a person’s death (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the agency said in a statement.
According to investigators, at around 09:30 Russian troops carried out an artillery shelling of Stanislav.
As a result of the attack, a 67-year-old local resident was killed; at the time of the shelling, he was outside.
Prosecutors, together with investigators, continue to document war crimes committed by Russian Armed Forces personnel.
- On the morning of 26 July, Russian forces attacked Kherson with strike drones and carried out an airstrike on the city. Three civilians were injured in the attacks.
