On the night of 30 August 2026, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck a number of key Russian targets, including an oil refinery, drone launch sites and an airfield.
The General Staff reported this.
In Kirishi, Leningrad Region, the Kirishi oil refinery was hit, followed by a fire on the plant’s premises.
It is Russia’s second-largest oil refinery by capacity and the biggest in the country’s north-west, located in Leningrad Region. The facility’s capacity is about 20 million tonnes of oil per year. The plant produces motor fuels, aviation fuel, diesel fuel and other petroleum products. The facility is involved in meeting the needs of Russia’s armed forces.
Also in Millerovo, Rostov Region, a storage, preparation and launch site for strike UAVs was hit. A fire was recorded there.
In addition, in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai, the Yeysk airfield was hit, followed by a fire on the site.
The extent of the damage is being clarified.
Work on key Russian facilities continues, the General Staff stressed.
