Russia Launches 127 Drones at Ukraine Overnight

The enemy again used jet-powered UAVs, which are harder to shoot down.

On the night of 23 August, starting from 18:00, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 127 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Herbera, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and the occupied Crimea and Donetsk.

As of 09:00, according to preliminary data, defenders neutralised 97 drones in the north, south and east of the country. This was reported by the Air Force.

The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

“Hits by 27 strike UAVs were recorded at 22 locations, as well as the fall of downed ones (debris) at 3,” the statement said.
