Five more communities in the Chernihiv region have been granted the status of territories where combat may occur.

As the head of the Regional Military Administration Viacheslav Chaus wrote on Telegram, these changes are set out in the Ministry for Development Order No. 1389.

This concerns the territories of the Kholmyn, Berezna, Sedniv, and partly the Tupychiv and Sosnytsia communities.

The Chernihiv Regional Military Administration submitted this proposal following requests from the communities themselves. Ponornytsia and Mena communities are also next in line.

This status is taken into account when applying the state support mechanisms provided for by law, including benefits, compensation, certain payments for farmers, and more.

Thanks to amendments to a government resolution, communities located up to 30 km from an area where active hostilities are taking place can be granted the status of a territory where combat may occur.

  • Over the past two months in the Chernihiv region, an increase in the number of Russian jet-powered drones has been recorded.
