An office building caught fire in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi District as a result of an enemy attack. Preliminary reports indicate there are casualties.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported this on Telegram, as did the Kyiv City Military Administration press service.
Falling drone debris sparked a fire in a four-storey office building. Damage has also been recorded. People are currently being evacuated from the upper floors.
Earlier, medics received calls to the capital’s Shevchenkivskyi and Solomianskyi districts. Ambulance crews have been dispatched to the addresses.
Earlier, the capital declared a yellow alert level due to the threat of attack drones.
- On the night of 8 September, Russia attacked Kyiv with drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles. Two people were killed and 12 city residents were injured. Five of the wounded were hospitalised, two of them in serious condition, the capital’s mayor Vitali Klitschko said. The drone attack continued in the morning.
