Kyiv will shorten the curfew by one hour. From 10 September, it will run from 01:00 to 5:00. The decision was taken by the Kyiv Defence Council, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
The city’s public transport will operate for an extra hour. The opening hours of catering venues, entertainment venues and shopping and leisure centres will remain unchanged.
During the curfew, due to train delays, Kyiv is organising four bus routes to transport people from the central railway station.
“I would like to remind you that, by decisions of the Kyiv Defence Council, transit movement of large vehicles during the curfew has been permitted since 3 September,” Vitali Klitschko said.
He also spoke about changes to the metro’s operation. Under the yellow threat level, which is used for drone danger, the “green” Syretsko-Pecherska line will operate without restrictions. Trains will run via the Southern Bridge. Under the red threat level, this line will run between the stations “Syrets” – “Vydubychi” and “Slavutych” – “Chervonyi Khutir”.
“The Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska line (the red line) will operate as before — in a restricted mode, carrying passengers along the underground section from the ‘Akademmistechko’ metro station to ‘Arsenalna’,” the mayor said.
The city has already organised an additional bus route that mirrors the red metro line and runs from the “Palats Sportu” metro station to “Lisova” via “Arsenalna”.
Surface public transport will continue to operate without restrictions. Traffic on the Southern Bridge during an air-raid alert will be permitted without restrictions, but with a technical closure for half an hour after an alert is announced and for half an hour after the all-clear.
During an air-raid alert, access to the Southern Bridge from Saperno-Slobidska Street and Mykhaila Boichuka Street will be closed.
The Darnytskyi Bridge, Paton Bridge, Metro Bridge and Northern Bridge will operate without changes.
The Podilsko-Voskresenskyi bridge crossing will operate with a technical closure for half an hour after an alert is announced and for half an hour after the all-clear, with changes to traffic management (the introduction of reversible traffic).
There are also changes to the holding of mass events. Due to the deterioration of the security situation in the capital, all entertainment and physical culture and sports events in open areas and in facilities without shelters will be temporarily banned.
Notifications about different alert levels are already working in the “Kyiv Digital” app.
