In Kramatorsk, in the Donetsk region, rescuers are dealing with the aftermath of Russian attacks. Because of the threat of renewed shelling, they had to halt efforts to extinguish a fire in a non-residential building.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
In the second half of the day, Russian forces struck a non-residential facility. As a result of the attack, a two-storey building and an adjoining extension caught fire. The total area of the blaze was 500 square metres.
Rescuers contained the fire, however, due to the ongoing threat of repeat attacks, they were forced to suspend operations.
Emergency responders also tackled a fire in a private residential area, where an air strike set building structures alight. The seat of the fire was brought under control.
- Over the course of 10 October, Russian forces killed a civilian in Sloviansk. A further four residents of the Donetsk region were injured over the day.
