On the morning of 11 October, emergency power cuts were introduced in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
This was reported by DTEK.
"Kyiv and the Kyiv region: on Ukrenergo’s instruction, emergency power cuts have been introduced. We remind you that during emergency outages, schedules do not apply," the statement said.
Ukrenergo added that emergency outages have been introduced in several regions of Ukraine due to the difficult situation in the power system caused by Russian shelling.
"The previously published hourly outage schedules are currently not in effect. Emergency outages will be cancelled immediately after the situation in the power system stabilises. Power engineers are working to restore a more stable electricity supply as quickly as possible."
- On 10 October, as a result of an attack by Russian drones, several elements of the electricity network were de-energised that were involved in supplying power to parts of Kyiv and the region. As a result, a significant number of consumers in the region are currently without power.
- Emergency power cuts were introduced in Pivdenna Borshchahivka. In the Bucha district of the region, emergency outages were also recorded due to an attack on energy facilities.
