On the night of 11 October, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 116 strike drones of various types. Ukraine’s air defences shot down 94 enemy UAVs.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The attack began at 18:00 on 10 October. Russian drones were launched from the directions of Oryol, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
The air assault was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:30, Ukraine’s air defences shot down or suppressed 94 drones, including 74 jet-powered UAVs.
Hits by 10 enemy UAVs were recorded at seven locations. Debris from downed drones fell at a further nine locations.
The air attack is ongoing, with around ten Russian drones in the sky.
