Drones attacked the data centre of Russian company Yandex in the city of Vladimir. Afterwards, outages were reported across its online services.
This was reported by the Ukrainian OSINT channel Supernova+ and the Telegram channel Astra.
Russian media, citing a company statement, wrote that the data centre’s operations were completely halted as a result of the drone attack. Power supply disruptions occurred in the availability zone of the Yandex Cloud platform. Reports say there were no casualties.
The disruptions affected a number of services, including taxi, music, smart home and banking services in several countries.
Vladimir Region Governor Alexander Avdeyev said drones attacked infrastructure in the suburbs of Vladimir.
According to him, the shutdown of two substations left around 5,000 residents without electricity. Evacuation of people from nearby buildings was also reported.
