The 1,691st day of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Over the past day, 221 combat clashes were recorded on the front line.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, the Russian army carried out missile strikes and 73 air strikes, during which it dropped 255 guided aerial bombs. The occupiers also used 8,444 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,553 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian troop positions, including 45 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Air strikes hit the settlements of Mkhy, Khotin and Vakalivshchyna. Communities in Sumy and Chernihiv regions also came under fire.
Over the past day, Defence Forces aviation struck one Russian drone control point.
On the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, Ukrainian troops repelled three enemy assault actions. Russian forces carried out four air strikes using 11 guided aerial bombs and conducted 171 shelling attacks on Defence Forces positions and populated areas.
On the South Slobozhanskyi axis, Ukrainian units repelled 10 attacks near Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory and towards Radkivka.
On the Kupiansk axis, Russian forces tried once to improve their positions in the area of Nova Kruhliakivka.
On the Lyman axis, the occupiers attacked 10 times near Nadiia, Novoiehorivka, Novoselivka, Lyman and Dibrova.
On the Sloviansk axis, the enemy carried out six attacks near Ozerne, Kryva Luka and towards Pyskunivka and Mykolaivka. No offensive actions were recorded on the Kramatorsk axis.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, Russian forces carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, Toretske, Vilne and towards Mykolaipillia, Raiske and Pryiut.
On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian defenders stopped 25 attacks. The occupiers tried to advance near Svitle, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka and towards Dobropillia, Novohryshyne and Serhiivka.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, Russian forces did not conduct offensive actions.
On the Huliaipole axis, the Defence Forces repelled 21 attacks. The enemy tried to advance near Rybne, Verkhnia Tersa, Hirkе, Huliaipilske, Mala Tokmachka and towards Kosivtseve, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Rivne, Vozdvyzhivka, Dolynka and Kopani.
On the Orikhiv axis, no enemy offensive actions were recorded. On the Prydniprovske axis, Ukrainian troops stopped one enemy attack.
On the Volyn and Polissia axes, no signs of Russian offensive groupings being formed were detected.
- Overall, over the past day Russian invader losses amounted to 1,930 personnel. Two tanks, six armoured combat vehicles, 39 artillery systems, four multiple launch rocket systems, two air defence assets, seven ground robotic systems, 1,531 unmanned aerial vehicles, 557 vehicles and three units of the enemy’s special equipment were also destroyed.
