Over the past day, Russian forces shelled 27 settlements in the region more than 40 times.

In the Sumy region, two civilians were injured over the past day as a result of Russian shelling. In the Sumy community, a 43-year-old man was injured, while in the Stepanivka community a 36-year-old man suffered an acute stress reaction.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

Over the 24 hours from the morning of 10 October to the morning of 11 October 2026, Russian forces carried out more than 40 attacks on 27 settlements across 14 territorial communities in the Sumy region. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.

In the Sumy community, an enemy drone struck a car, injuring a 43-year-old man. In the Stepanivka community, following a UAV strike, a 36-year-old man suffered an acute stress reaction.

Russian forces used artillery, mortars, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs.

As a result of the shelling, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed:

  • in the Vorozhba community – a non-residential building;
  • in the Seredyna-Buda community – residential houses and outbuildings;
  • in the Hlukhiv community – a private house, an administrative building, a civilian infrastructure facility and cars;
  • in the Sumy community – a shop premises and a car;
  • in the Znob-Novhorodske community – a private house.

The Sumy, Stepanivka, Mykolaivka rural, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Vorozhba, Seredyna-Buda, Hlukhiv, Esman, Svesa, Novoslobidske, Putyvl and Velyka Pysarivka communities also came under attack.

According to the Regional Military Administration, the air-raid alert in the region lasted 19 hours and 41 minutes over the past day.
