A Ukrainian FPV drone equipped with the “Ptashka” net launcher from domestic manufacturer Ptashka Drones has intercepted a Russian Molniya-2 strike UAV. The company published the interception video on Facebook.

The footage shows the Ukrainian interceptor firing a net at the Russian drone. After that, the UAV begins to fall, likely due to a shift in its centre of gravity or because the propeller was jammed by the net.

Ptashka Drones said the Russian UAV was neutralised using the “Ptashka” net launcher, which is designed for use from FPV drones against enemy UAVs at short range.

The company said the operator can see video in real time, change the flight path during the mission, and adjust actions depending on the situation.

According to the manufacturer, the net measures 3.7×3.7 m, firing range is up to 15 m, and the maximum net-deployment distance is 4–5 m. The net launcher itself measures 210×140×110 mm. The weight of the loaded device is 550 g.
