Ukraine’s Defence Forces continue to strike facilities that supply the Russian army with fuel, weapons and components for missiles and drones.
This was reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence.
According to the ministry, in September Ukrainian troops hit:
- 12 large oil refineries;
- two gas condensate and petrochemical industry facilities;
- five defence industry enterprises;
- a naval base and fleet facilities;
- a military airfield and aircraft.
In particular, at the Novorossiysk naval base, at least three Russian ships were hit.
At the Rostov-on-Don (Central) airfield, two An-26 aircraft, one An-12 and three helicopters were struck.
Ukrainian forces also attacked storage and launch sites for strike drones, as well as port, fuel and logistics infrastructure.
The most distant target in September was the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery, located about 1,500 kilometres from the Ukrainian border.
- Ukraine’s Defence Forces have systematically shifted from a series of strikes on refineries and airfields to high-precision operations targeting the logistics chain for the production, storage and launch of UAVs. Similar operations had been carried out before — essentially since 2024 — but never with such a pronounced emphasis.
