Ukraine did not receive any warning from its partners about the launch of Russian ballistic missiles at Kyiv, even though such intelligence helps save lives.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this on social media.

"There was also a rather vile ballistic strike on Kyiv – five missiles that hit civilian infrastructure. As for this strike, unfortunately, there was no warning from our partners. Intelligence on the launch of Russian ballistic missiles helps save people’s lives, and this is one of the most critical issues," the President noted.

The head of state also pointed out that Russia did not adhere to the ceasefire on energy infrastructure announced by the US President. For two days after the agreement was announced, Ukraine did not attack Russian oil refineries or energy facilities; however, Russian forces continued to strike Ukraine’s energy sector and critical infrastructure.

During this time, 19 regions of Ukraine came under attack. The President stressed that Ukraine is ready for reciprocal steps to de-escalate, but this requires effective pressure on Russia.

In his view, a war ends when the aggressor loses the ability to drag it out, and supporting Moscow while weakening assistance to Kyiv does not help achieve peace.

Separately, Zelensky reported on the consequences of Russian strikes on Kharkiv. There, four people were killed when a residential building was destroyed, and 41 people were injured. The rescue operation in the rubble lasted virtually all night.
