During the day on 16 October, Russia attacked Ukraine with 315 strike drones of various types, including 78 jet-powered ones, as well as 15 S-8000 “Banderol/Dan-T” missiles.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to preliminary data, from 07:00 to 19:00 Ukraine’s air defences shot down 253 drones, including 49 jet-powered ones, as well as nine S-8000 “Banderol/Dan-T” weapons.
As of 18:00, around 35 strike drones were still in Ukraine’s airspace.
The Air Force urges people not to ignore air-raid warnings and to stay in shelters when there is danger.
