Several regions of Ukraine have introduced emergency electricity outages due to a difficult situation in the power system caused by Russian shelling.

This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo.

In the regions where emergency outages have been applied, the previously published blackout schedules are currently not in effect.

Energy workers are working to restore power supply as quickly as possible. The emergency outages will be lifted once the situation in the power system stabilises.

Ukrenergo stresses that the situation may change, so consumers are advised to follow updates from local distribution system operators.

"If you currently have power, consumers are urged to use electricity sparingly", – Ukrenergo emphasises.
