Since the start of autumn, Ukrainian fighters have de-occupied more territory than the Russians have managed to seize.
This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“The situation in Dobropillia: we are destroying the Russians’ attempts to assault us there, we are eliminating infiltrations. It is not easy, but our lads are taking them out. We are defending positions in other directions in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, and in Zaporizhzhia region. We are recording the results of operations by the Air Assault Forces and the Third Army Corps — our active defence. The trend this year continues: since the start of autumn, our warriors have liberated more territory than the Russians have managed to capture. The same was true in other parts of the year,” the head of state said.
Zelenskyy added that pressure on the Russians at the front continues.
“Dobropillia, Kostiantynivka, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Orikhiv, Novopavlivka, Novoandriivka and Velykomykhailivka — all are under Ukraine’s control. And we are defending areas near Kramatorsk. We are destroying Russians 20 kilometres from Zaporizhzhia, not five, as someone there in Russia is fantasising to Putin,” the head of state said, commenting on a statement by the head of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, about the alleged occupation of Malokaterynivka in Zaporizhzhia region and Russian troops supposedly approaching to within 5 km of Zaporizhzhia.
- The Centre for Countering Disinformation reported that servicemen of the 128th Separate Heavy Mechanised Brigade recorded a video directly from Malokaterynivka, thereby debunking the occupiers’ fake.
