Over the course of 18 October, Ukraine’s air defence forces neutralised 418 of 463 Russian attack drones of various types. The effectiveness of countering Russian drones stood at 90.28%.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russia continues to attack Ukraine with strike drones, directing them primarily against civilians and infrastructure.

Over the past day, the enemy used 463 attack UAVs of various types: “Shahed-131/136/238”, “Parodiya”, “Herbera”, “Banderol/Dan-T” and “Italmas”.

Ukraine’s air defence forces neutralised 418 of them. The effectiveness of countering them was 90.28%.

The General Staff stresses that even such a high figure does not guarantee complete safety. Every drone that could not be neutralised remains a threat to people.

Ukrainians are urged not to ignore air-raid alerts and not to share information on air defence operations on social media.

“Ukraine’s Defence Forces continue to strengthen air defence, improve methods of detecting and destroying enemy targets, and build capabilities to counter new threats, including jet-powered attack UAVs,” the General Staff emphasised.
