The Defence Procurement Agency (DPA) of the DOT in 2026 expanded the list of products for the Defence Forces. New categories include tactical missiles and aircraft. Acting Director of the DPA of the DOT Artem Romaniukov said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
This year, the procurement list also included quad bikes, motorbikes and buggies. In the category of clothing and personal equipment, women’s body armour and anti-fragmentation suits have appeared.
According to Romaniukov, 2026 was also marked by large-scale procurement. The DPA announced the largest competitive procedure in the history of public procurement for the purchase of vehicles — 5,000 pick-up trucks for the Defence Forces.
“The list of products procured by the agency is formed in line with needs identified by the General Staff and the Ministry of Defence. Our task is to meet these needs as efficiently as possible, develop competition and shorten delivery times for the necessary products to the military,” Artem Romaniukov noted.
Procurement volumes of unmanned systems have also increased. In 2026, the DPA contracted 300% more drones than in the whole of 2025, excluding FPV drones. The volume of contracting for FPV drones increased by 54%, and their deliveries by almost 3.7 times.
