Last night and overnight on 23 October, the Russian army attacked energy infrastructure, residential buildings and businesses in the Rivne region. One settlement in the northern part of the region came under seven consecutive attacks.
There were no casualties. This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Koval.
“Part of the Rivne region is currently without power,” he added.
In autumn, Russia stepped up attacks on Ukraine’s central and western regions. The Rivne region has also been hit by several large-scale bombardments. On 21 October, the enemy struck the Metro shopping centre, and also hit the shopping centre the day before.
