As part of the New Country project, diplomats, politicians, analysts, and experts analysed what changes are expected after the US presidential election and what can be done to counter them.
“We now have to make a decision: to finance 155 mm shells or drones, to man two more brigades or, excuse me, to allocate money for culture. And these are very difficult decisions.”
New Country asked the Minister of Finance, the Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, businessmen, MPs, entrepreneurs, analysts, bankers, representatives, and the public their opinion on the tax innovations.
Representatives of anti-corruption agencies, the Defence Intelligence Service, business, civil society, journalists and the military discussed justice as a key tool for state development.
"When we suspect everyone, when we realise that everyone can steal, that every MP and minister needs to be watched, it is very expensive. We will not build an effective or fair state in this way.”
