The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released operational information on the Russian invasion at 6 a.m. on Friday, March 4. This is the ninth day of the Ukrainian resistance to the Russian invader.

The primary efforts of the occupiers are focused on encircling Kyiv and weakening the resistance in the blocked towns and cities. In this task, the Russian armed forces exhausted most of the operational reserves and began preparations for transferring additional troops and resources from the Southern and Eastern military districts. Occupiers’ second echelons and most operating reserves were put into operation.
In the Volyn region, the enemy with the resources of two armored personnel carriers shifted to defense actions near Poliske and Kukhari settlements. The occupier may carry out armed provocations on the border with the goal to involve Belarus armed forces in the war with Ukraine.
In the Polissia region, a group of occupiers of the Eastern Military District military units is conducting an offensive operation in the Kozarovychi, Vyshhorod, Fastiv, Obukhiv stripsб with forces of up to 15 APCs, concentrating efforts in the direction of Byshiv and Ukrainka. In the struggle for the frontiers in the area of the settlements of Poliske, Kukhari, Borodyanka, Byshiv, Gorenichi, Demidov, the enemy partially lost its offensive potential. The main enemy forces were blocked and stopped in the Makarov area. The occupiers withdrew from Bucha and Gostomel airfield.
In the Siversky region, a group of troops from the Central Military District with forces of up to fourteen APCs and the 14th Army District of the Northern Fleet is conducting an offensive operation in the Oster, Zazimya strip; Berezan, Vyshenky, focusing on Kyiv. At the same time, the enemy regrouped to continue the offensive in the direction of Brovary.
In Slobozhanshchyna, a group of troops from the Western Military District with forces of up to sixteen APCs is conducting an offensive operation, concentrating efforts on the direction of Novomoskovsk. Blocks Kharkiv from the north. Captured Balakleya. The enemy failed in the Okhtyrka area and concentrated its main forces in the Gadyach and Zinkiv districts.
In the Donetsk region, enemy grouping forces of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps reinforced by seven APCs from the 8th Army continued offensive actions to develop tactical success in the Novoaidar, Volnovakha, and Mariupol areas; got to the village of Novooleksandrivka. In the Tavriya region, the enemy concentrated up to 15 APCs in the direction of Mykolayiv - Voznesensk. After regrouping and introducing part of the operational reserves to the battalion tactical groups, continues the offensive in the direction of Zaporizhzhia; some of the forces continue the offensive in Mariupol. The airborne assault units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were put into operation in the direction of Mykolaiv. The occupiers were stopped near Mykolaiv but had partial success in the direction of Voznesensk.
