In the Kharkiv region, the head of the Pivdenne city territorial community, Oleksandr Bryuhanov, was taken into custody. Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that he is suspected of high treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The prosecutor's office said that Bryukhanov deliberately acted to the detriment of sovereignty, territorial integrity, inviolability, defense capabilities, state, economic, or information security of Ukraine. He also obstructed the armament of the Ukrainian military.
Bryukhanov was remanded in custody.
We will remind that earlier Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings after deputies of the State Duma and participants of the meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation made the statement about recognition of "LDNR".
