President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded 76 Ukrainian heroes with orders and medals for personal courage and selfless actions to defend our country from the Russian occupiers. Unfortunately, 37 of them are awarded posthumously.

He stated this in a video message.

The President awarded the rank of Hero of Ukraine to Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, commander of the Joint Forces Operation.

Zelenskyy also conferred the military rank of Brigadier General to Colonel Volodymyr Shvorak, deputy Commander of the Operational Command East of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He conferred the military rank of Brigadier General of Justice to Colonel of Justice Serhiy Melnyk, head of the Military Law Institute of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

He awarded the rank of Brigadier General to Colonel Artem Bogomolov, deputy Commander of the Operational Command West.

He conferred the rank of General to Valery Zaluzhnyy, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It was earlier reported that yesterday Zelenskyy awarded a rank of the Hero of Ukraine to 15 defenders against the aggression of Russia, nine posthumously. On March 3, the President awarded 12 defenders of Ukraine, six posthumously.
