1.2 million refugees have left Ukraine following the Russian attack on 24 February. This was reported by CNN referring to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Currently, over half of the 1,209,976 refugees have moved to Poland. The rest have gone to other neighboring countries, including Hungary, Slovakia, Moldova and Romania.
According to UNHCR, more than a million people left in the first week of the war alone while many are still trying to leave the country or relocate to other regions of Ukraine.
