The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenkyy, talked with U.S. President Joe Biden, the former reported on Twitter.
According to him, the talks focused on security, financial support for Ukraine, and the continuation of Russia’s sanctions policy.
03.33 a.m. updated: in the White House statement about this conversation, it says that Biden supported Visa and Mastercard’s decision to terminate their operations in Russia. Biden added that his administration is closely working with Congress to provide additional funding for Ukraine.
He also reiterated his concerns regarding the recent attack of Russian forces on Zaporizhzhia NPP and recognized the courage and professionalism of the station's staff, who kept the reactors safe.
Presidents also discussed recent negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
