YouTube has blocked the channel of Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov, as well as the channel of his program on Russian television.
This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on Telegram.
"YouTube has blocked the channel of Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov "Solovyov Live", as well as the channel of his television program "Sunday Night with Vladimir Solovyov". Thank you YouTube!" Fedorov wrote.
It should be noted that Vladimir Solovyov is a Russian TV presenter and propagandist. Member of the ruling political party called «Yedinaya Rossiya» (United Russia). He is known for his anti-Ukrainian statements and propaganda. He has real estate in Italy, as well as a certificate of Italian resident. In August 2014, Ukraine included him in the list of sanctions for his position on the war in eastern Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea by Russia.
Recall that on 2 March, “Roskomsvoboda” announced a possible blocking of YouTube in Russia. YouTube has stated that it is suspending the opportunity for RussiaToday and other Russian state media outlets to sell advertising on its channels due to "extraordinary circumstances." The service also said it would limit video recommendations published by these channels.
On 7 March, pro-Russian propagandist Anatoly Shariy's YouTube channel was blocked in Ukraine.
