Russia is recruiting militants from the private military company Liga (formerly Wagner) to replenish the occupying forces and conduct hostilities in Ukraine.

According to the official Telegram channel of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, these mercenaries are already dying.

"This is evidenced, in particular, by the badges of the annihilated occupiers. Some were made for use during the warfare in Syria; they contain Arabic, English, and French inscriptions. As well as Syrian phone numbers," intelligence said.

They added that PMC Wagner is a Russian military organization staffed by mercenaries. The group has taken part in hostilities in many conflicts, including in Donbas on the side of Russia, in Syria on Putin's ally, Dictator al-Assad, side, and in Sudan.

"An independent mission under United Nations Security Council auspices has established that Wagner's actions are classified as war crimes or crimes against humanity. The European Union has imposed personal sanctions against Wagner members and leaders," the Ministry of Defence said.

As a reminder, the mercenary of the Russian PMC Wagner was captured in Ovruch town of the Zhytomyr region. Based on the published video of a conversation with Putin's mercenary, he was promised 56,000 rubles during the month of the war in Ukraine. The enemy said he had a broken leg, five bullet wounds, and shrapnel wounds. As seen in the video, during a conversation with the Ukrainian military, the mercenary agreed that “Putin is a dickhead.”
